There's perks in being in Narcs and then there's the not-so-good perks. The constant bumping with IA with our crew isn't very welcome, nor is an early morning wake-up call from them for an impromptu interview.

Those guys really don't know the meaning of weekends, now do they?

Fourth having passed peacefully, exception being those godforsaken fireworks near five AM in the morning--you haven't heard fireworks when you hear Chinese ones, I'm telling you, they just DON'T STOP.

Someone tell me that I can shoot someone already.

I need to get a new phone.

I'd like to think that I didn't go away for that long, but, uh, really guys? Throwing away all the stuff on my desk and giving it to some guy whose called Ernest? (Is his nickname "Ernie"?)

I thought we had a deeper relationship than that. Seriously, all of you wound my heart so deeply, I can't even start to elaborate on how much my chest hurts.

Wait, maybe that's my lungs.

While I was wishing Riza a happy birthday, I just realized something. (Yeah, two days later, shut up.)

I was actually reminded of my own by a text message my mom gave me since all my calls kept going to voice mail.

...

Is it too late for a do-over or can I just get a rain check? I really really don't want to be thirty. Really.

Thanks Mom.

Not going to lie, but things are picking up a bit around this place in a good way. Recently, it was nothing but long-ass cases that seemed to never end, but with some much needed help and patience, things are mellowing out. And now the only chaos and drama we see it right here in our department, where havoc never rests.

Hah. Pun. (Shut up, it was unintentional.)

The new recruit for the month seems to be a hot headed female that just yells and curses most of the time. I think her and Sabaku get along pretty well, although I still need him intact for grunt work, so anything too wild, I might need to step in on.

As for the house business, well. Haven't seen it yet, but planning to.

Sent to the desk of Kurenai Yuuhi )

Yeah, that time of year again. I swear, it's not funny when I find women lingerie in my filing cabinets or lube stuffed into the cup I hold my pens in. Valentine's Day should be more properly labeled as "Miserable Day for Singles Day" or "Pull a Prank on a Fellow Lovesick Co-worker Day". Either way, it ain't all that pretty.

But I think I got a good night planned here, even if it's a bit abrupt. Guess planning ahead does have some of it's perks.

I sent a dozen roses to my mom earlier in the week, hopefully it arrived on time and she doesn't have someone that has already gotten her something already. Thinking about what kind of love life she leads is something that's worse than hangovers, but I can't forget about the woman who raised me.

Seriously, though. Lube?

Someone's losing their touch.

Usually when I think about vacations and time off, visits to mom in Jersey comes into mind and catching up with the fellas back home. Always a pleasure to see who got themselves tangled up in marriage and who got hit by kids the hardest. It's kind of scary to know that a lot of my classmates in elementary school have a family of their own now, but considering what age we are, well, I'm just probably a late bloomer in that category. Whether or not it's a good thing or not, I've yet to think about it.

But so far on this vacation, there's plenty to think about and consider. The setting here, is no doubt, country and definitely a relief from San Francisco itself. Still haven't got a chance to try some of the wine they offer around here, but it's definitely on my to-do list.
